Heirloom Lace Bonnet

I love pieces that have a good story, and this one does. Hubby and I took an impromptu getaway weekend going nowhere in particular beyond where the car took us. We stumbled upon a fiber festival(yes!). It was there I discovered this gorgeous yarn. This is what I know about it: It was hand-spun. It was dyed with onion skins to a shade somewhere between spun gold and marigold sunsets. I believe it is a wool and silk blend. And it definitely makes a beautiful lace bonnet for youthful frolicking.

Size: To fit an older infant or young toddler.

Fibers: Wool and silk with a touch of elastic that I threaded in around the edges to give a bit of shape to the lace.

Recommended Care: Soak in gentle detergent and lay flat to dry.

ps. We had a fabulous weekend!
