A vintage tea towel gets a remake as a charming bonnet for your little girl. After I found this sweet linen, I gently soaked it to remove its signs of age. There's still a slight touch of that aged patina, but its hard to see. I folded and gathered and sewed. I sculpted the satin flower petals with a touch of heat and hand sewed the little flowers together. Leave the ties fluttering or tie in a cute little bow under a smiling chin.
Sizing: This should fit babies 6-12 mos old. The back tie makes the bonnet adjustable for a custom fit. The actual measurements are about 7" tall and 7.5" deep---deep enough for a little brim to shade baby's delicate skin. Ties are 11" long.
Recommended Care: Let soak in cool water and gentle detergent. Lay flat to dry. Iron the linen as necessary. Use only a cool iron on the satin.
