Velvet Slouch Clutch
The Story: A fabric store goes under, and there's a rummage sale of sorts for the retired swatches. A friend (we'll call her The Enabler) shows up with a bag full for me (The Fabric Junkie) to paw through.
The Challenge: What do you make with (a lot of) 16" squares of gorgeous fabrics? Well to start...
This Bag: A fabulous clutch that's old world vintage and has a hankering for fall.
Cotton velveteen outer, silk lining, brass purse frame.
The body of the bag measures approx 13" wide, 6.5" tall, 4.5" wide.
Now, remember. This is rescue fabric. It's been spayed and neutered and all cleaned up, but don't be looking for pattern symmetry or whatnot. Who knows what this mutt's parents were.
