Little Girl, Little PillowEarly morning strolls with my guy through a local flea market always inspire. I collect pictures of people I don't know and pieces of this and that from the past. Back in the studio, things get shuffled, and blended, and merged until there is a new story to tell again. A little girl--perhaps 2? She wears here best dress and poses for her proud Papa as he grins and strokes his mustache, standing behind the photographer. They capture the moment, and somehow, generations later, that moment comes to me. I scanned the photograph and heat transferred it to a cotton linen I've tea-stained. I added a bit of vintage trim and stuffed it softly with a combination of polyfil and recycled wool. A new life for an old moment in time. Measures about 6.5" x 7" Please note that this listing is for the small little girl pillow only. The larger pillow can be elsewhere in the collection.
