Hooking these nautilus shapes is, frankly, addictive. It’s a motif I started playing with a few years ago, and each little spiral just kept multiplying in my head. A hike through the oyster middens of Midcoast Maine, inspired a color palette and my hook wasn’t quiet until my vision had been realized.
Hooked with a combination of wool and recycled cashmere.
Backed with antique European homespun.
Measures about 17″ square.
