I’ve been turning to the motifs of Rufus Porter, a muralist, for inspiration lately. An itinerant Maine artist, he travelled New England to make his living. Comfortably settled in my studio, and decidedly not the wandering type, I’ve been rather enjoying doodling and playing with these motifs and seeing how they evolve and are transformed with hooking.
Hooked with an assortment of vintage wools and recycled cashmere. Backed with antique European homespun.
Measures 14.5″ x 11″.
This piece is is complete and ready to go.
