Woman Feeding Chickens Primitive Rug Hooking Pattern

An old photograph I discovered at a flea market became the inspiration for this pattern. Discovering her story in color as I hooked was a wonderful and rewarding adventure. I hope you will enjoy the process, too.

I hooked my mat on linen using a variety of widths of wool strips and eventually made it in to a pillow. This pattern could just as easily be hooked on rug warp or monks cloth depending on your preferred style and rug hooking or needle punch method.

This pattern is available as an instant download and includes two full color pages with plenty of pictures and instructions how to print the line drawing of the pattern to size on your home printer.

• Pattern Size: 14” wide by 13.75” tall.

• This pattern assumes a general knowledge of rug hooking and pattern transfer methods. If you are new to the wonders of rug hooking, please feel free to contact me for more information, and I’ll get you pointed in the right direction.
